Recently obtained an Omega powered by the 2627 movement, which I think is based on the 2500, based on the ETA 2892-A2. It wasn't running, I had it serviced, I am quite inactive, and it died on my wrist. Inside the Seamaster Calendar 2627, beats Omega’s caliber 353. An early (bumper) automatic movement with 17 jewels, 42 hours of power reserve, and (an odd) 19,800vph (equating to 2.75Hz). Later, Calendar models would use the caliber 355. That movement is also a 353 having undergone a bit of a redesign.
