ACQUA ESSENZIALE or BLEU DE CHANEL: This or That?
In this video I compare similarities in Ferragamo's Acqua Essenziale and Chanel's Bleu de Chanel.Click here to check out my previous fragrance review: Plea.On its own, Acqua Essenziale can pass off as Bleu de Chanel when smelling it in waft mode. :) I use Bleu on a more noteworthy occasion and use Acqua Essenziale when I want to save my Bleu. The price difference between the two is considerable... buy Acqua Essenziale, smell great and few will know the difference. I've tried Acqua Essenziale Blu, Tag-Him, and Missoni Pour Homme. They're their own frags as far as I'm concerned and smell perhaps around 60% similar? I wouldn't justify any of them as a blind buy if you're after what bdc smells like. The biggest difference is that Bleu de Chanel has a bigger emphasis on the sweet citrus notes, while Profumo is more dry and earthy. They both perform well. One thing I want to point out though, is that Profumo definitely gives off vibes of being a "mature" fragrance compared to Bleu de Chanel.
If you want a perfume similar to Bleu de Chanel but not a copy, Acqua Essenziale is a good choice. It's a traditional take on the flavourful scent ideal for summer wear because of its freshness. Many of the same original notes are present, like .A fresh, spicy with a true "Blue" (no pun intended) vibe. It has similarities to its Blue rivals such as Dior Sauvage, Bleu De Chanel and Dylan Blue, but still manages to be its own thing. The opening of cardamon, lemon, and bergamot work well with the lavender.Aqua Essenziale Blu is a safe alternative to Bleu De Chanel, but not superior. The difference in scent should result in just purchasing Chanel instead. I am not sure why but it did not appeal too much to me and does not last long at all on me.Bleu De Chanel and Acqua Di Gio Profumo are very popular for their mystical aroma. Both scents offer a solid and cozy aura with every splash. The crisp, aromatic, and woodsy-smokey blend of Bleu De Chanel will beautifully elevate the atmosphere all year.
